Are you thinking about getting managed hosting for your company's website? If you are, it is helpful to understand the fact that there are two different types typically offered. The first is partially managed, and it usually just includes things like routine server resets, basic maintenance, and customer service on working days. The fully managed type plans include technical support on-site, customer service around the clock, and performance maintenance and server administration. There are advantages and disadvantages to having both fully and partially managed type hosting services, and you need to know them before you sign with a service.
The main advantage of managed hosting managed hosting is the fact that it will allow you to concentrate on the other more important facets of your business, including customer acquisition, customer service, and site upkeep. You will not have to maintain, optimize, or update your web server's performance, which will in turn allow you to really increase performance and productivity in other areas. You will appreciate not having to spend multiple hours each day in an effort to repair technological issues that can come about in hosting panels, which is necessary if you ever hope to expand.
There are cons to managed hosting services that go along with the advantages, however. One thing you, or your information technology professional, might not appreciate about the managed plans is the fact that you will not have complete freedom over the server's software configuration. Since a hosting provider will by default assume that you do not know how to use web servers, they will not allow you to have much control. They do this to prevent inexperienced people from causing errors with the software that they will have to fix later. You should also expect to pay more money for hosting that is managed than you would with other dedicated plans.
When you take all the pros and cons of managed hosting into account, it is usually pretty clear about whether it will be right for your company or not. If you don't want to worry about any of the back-end stuff, then it is definitely right for you. If you do want a lot of control of even the tiniest details, then you should think about other hosting options.

Online data backup
In today's world, where businesses depend on technology, saving information and other important data has become a very serious concern. Because personal information of clients and company's valuable data are kept within their computers, hosting an online data backup has become a successful and profitable business.
Online data backup services work because they provide businesses with a way to save all their important information. This is accomplished by uploading the data via the Internet into a secured, online database. Because of this, businesses will never have to worry about loss of information, struggle with backup software, or lose money when their database of clients is erased.
Due to the popularity of this simple concept, and the development of numerous companies hosting online data backup, it is important to consider several factors before choosing a company to host your data. For instance, ask about the company's security in terms of their offsite storage, time required to upload and backup information, and duration of storage and restoration before inquiring about service charges.
Choosing an Online Data Backup Company
Small businesses often benefit from online data backup services because they don't have the money hire people to backup their data every day. Although backing up your data online may be an effective solution to store important information, it is important to understand that of all the hundreds of companies offering online data backup, half of them provide excellent services, while the other half should be avoided.
In terms of performance, be aware that several factors will influence how well a company can upload and store your data. These include your internet connection, number and size of the data that you need to backup, duration of uploading and restoring, as well as the technology used by the online data backup provider. For this reason, it is a good idea to ask the company how long it would take for you to backup and restore a certain amount of data, for instance, two or five gigabytes.
The items you wish to online data backup will affect the duration of uploading and restoring. Some companies only backup their documents from the main server once a week. If this is your case, it will only take a few minutes to backup. However, if you want to backup all your servers, workstations and databases every day, then you will spend more time in the backup process. In this instance, you should ask the provider about the protection or security of their online data backup services.
Costs of online data backup services will vary depending on your preferences, such as the amount of data to backup, the level of performance you require, the services you select and other packages you wish to subscribe to

Online Data Backup

It is hard to imagine the world without computers. I often find myself wondering about how we survived in the pre-computer era. Just a few short years ago the general population used computers for much less than we do now. Sure, many of us used the computer to surf the web, maybe do a little research using online encyclopedias, perhaps send e-mail and play an online game or two. That was then.
In 2004 we are using our computers for so much more than we were just five short years ago. Many of us have put our entire CD collection onto our hard drives and have collected years of digital photos which we have organized in every manner imaginable. Some of us have used our hard drives to store YEARS of financial and tax records, spreadsheets from work and for personal business ventures, and hundreds (even THOUSANDS) of saved e-mails. This is now.
The bottom line is: Your data is your life!
Whether you like it or not the data we generate using our personal computers on a day to day basis is becoming more and more integrated into the fabric of our lives. Gone are the days when we had tiny hard drives storing meager amounts of OS settings and a few documents. Today’s monster disks are storing much of the media that we use everyday for business and pleasure. What are you doing to ensure the integrity and security of that data?
One way to be certain your files will be accessible to you (and always unadulterated by viruses or file corruption) is to use the services of an online data backup service. This service provides a turnkey solution to empower all of your data backup needs. You can schedule backups to occur on a regular basis, that you decide, and can backup everything from a single computer to an entire network of machines from one centralized interface. By scheduling regular “transparent” backups (meaning once you have set it up, you don’t have to interact with the software except to modify your settings) you can be sure to have the latest versions of your files, and even several previous revisions if you wish.
No matter how you decide to use it, an online data backup is the best solution for making sure you always have access to your most important files at all times.
Your DATA is your LIFE. Protect it!

Data Backup - Online
There are a lot of easy and powerful Internet data backup software. Internet data backup software helps to backup and restore data from any place with an Internet connection. The Internet backup software is easy to set up, extremely secure, recovers fast and is available in affordable prices. Software automates the entire backup process. Files are scrambled and password protected, cataloged and transferred off-site without any human activity. Whether you want to back up your own computer, or if you have an internet host and want to share it with others, then software is the reliable, affordable, secure solution. From the friendly user interface of software you can perform secure and encrypted backup or restoration operations.
Online Internet backup is automatic, reliable and secure. Once online backup software is installed and backup sets are arranged, backups start automatically. Online backup offers continuous backup, recovers data fast and lowers costs. Online Internet backup provides scalable and offsite data backup. A copy of your data is stored remotely online, to help you recover it in the event of an unexpected problem.
The Internet backup process is sometimes called remote backup. For years, large mainframe computers have been remotely backed up. Now, the right combination of hardware and software has made remote backup a reality for personal computer users, too. It not only makes sure that the backup process is functioning, but also tests how you will access data if your server becomes unavailable.
Backups are solid, increasing and create interruptions. Therefore they work fairly well on a dial-up connection. If you have a lot of data, the initial backup takes some time. Once the initial backup is performed, only individual file changes have to go up. Therefore the amount of data going out through the modem is small. Both a windows backup client and a web client exist. The windows client provides the backup and easy restore functions. The web client has more powerful restore options and manages online data store. It has advanced collaboration features such as sharing files and folders with colleagues, mailing of very large attachments and the ability to access data from anywhere on the Internet. Internet backup uses the Internet connection to send data to a secure remote server. Unlimited storage is available, but costs and Internet speed impose practical limits.
